I first learned Tagalog and a some ilocano in Northern Luzon as a missionary way back in 2001. when I came back home to the states I lost probably 90% of my vocabulary and conversational skills through non-use (if you don't use it you'll lose it). Now, I'm back to a point of fluency (thanks to vlogging) where I feel comfortable speaking with anyone, but I still make grammatical and pronunciation errors and I also stumble on words like "namesake." but even if you learn just 1 Tagalog word a day,
