Five minutes prior to closing, the Corsair Bell is rung three times to let guests know their visit is coming to an end. This tradition is carried out by James, who performs the duty on the days the Morgan is open to the public. The bell itself was originally on the Corsair, the steam yacht of J. Pierpont Morgan.
