8th grade photographic writers developed their creative writing skills by studying the art of photography. Students identified ways in which photography rules about framing, lighting, subject matter, and more could teach us new tricks in our writing. Using our school’s new mirrorless cameras, students captured photos that could either inspire new writing or pair well with existing works. The resulting images, poetry, and short stories were displayed in a thoughtful, unexpected, and artful exhibi
