From questions about a male loneliness epidemic to debates around ideas like traditional manhood or toxic masculinity, there’s been a lot of conversation about how men are faring in society today. Overall, Americans think that men who are masculine are viewed more positively than negatively. When it comes to loneliness, our survey shows that men don’t report feeling lonely more often than women do, but they do tend to turn to their networks less often for social connection and emotional support.
