3 days ago · On January 25, 1943, a B-17 Flying Fortress crashed near New Albany, claiming all 12 crew members' lives. The bomber, off course during a routine transfer, exploded in flames, scattering debris across 600 yards. In our latest episode of New Albany History, we remember this tragic event and the sacrifices of those who served during World War II.

Based in large part on resident requests, New Albany City Council collaborated Metro Parks to develop, fund and build New Albany’s first dog park, which can be seen at the park’s entryway. Maintained by Metro Parks staff, this dog park is a popular destination for dog owners and their four-legged family members.
