WNBA fans expressed their displeasure on Wednesday as 2K Games announced that Angel Reese will have the WNBA edition cover of NBA 2K26.
Of course Clark’s biggest rival in the league is Angel Reese, who along with Clark was one of the biggest stars in college basketball during her time at LSU. Their rivalry has continued on to the WNBA where Reese plays for the Chicago Sky, but there’s not really any doubt that she’s a distant second behind Clark when it comes to star power.
WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert doesn’t see an immediate future where the W’s best players take a week off from the regular season to compete at the American Century Championship golf tournament on Lake Tahoe. She does envision, however, more eyeballs on the product in the future as a result of strategic partnerships through corporations.
