After a dominant opening round win over LIU, Virginia Women's Lacrosse is going to face ACC opponent Duke to try and advance to the next round of the NCAA Tourn

Just under two months ago, a discouraged Virginia women’s lacrosse team walked off the field at Klöckner Stadium to the sound of the halftime buzzer. The score was 4-9 in favor of Duke, and although the Cavaliers (12-7, 5-4 ACC) had cut the deficit from six to five, it seemed an impossible task to complete the comeback.

The Blue Devils were given an opportunity to rewrite their happily-ever-after ending against the Cavaliers in the second round of the NCAA tournament. And that they did, as a relentless Duke drained fifth-seeded Virginia with a 17-9 win.
