Kyle Bearden is in the Sedgwick County Jail, charged with premeditated first-degree murder in the death of Mariana Christian.
Officers responded at around 8:45 a.m. Friday to the 900 block of 23rd Street North, a couple blocks west of Arkansas Avenue.
