Many New Yorkers planning to use a vaccine to protect themselves and their children from COVID-19 should brace for new federal government policies that could make it harder to get the shots.

The nation's top public health agency posted new recommendations that say healthy children may get COVID-19 vaccinations, removing language that said kids should get the shots.

Many also worried that the new policy would prompt insurers and government programs to reduce or drop coverage of the cost of the shots.
