Planned Parenthood, the largest reproductive health provider in the United States, and two of its member organizations had filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration earlier Monday over the provision, which the groups said was meant to target Planned Parenthood and its member organizations over abortion access.

The restraining order prevents the Trump administration from enacting a provision of the massive tax and policy law that would cut Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood.

A federal judge temporarily blocked the government from enforcing a provision of President Donald Trump’s megabill that would have prevented Medicaid from reimbursing Planned Parenthood—a move the reproductive health group said would amount to “defunding.”
