The Los Angeles Rams were saved from an offseason dilemma when quarterback Matthew Stafford quickly agreed to a restructured contract to remain with the team, but it sounds like they had a backup plan in mind if he chose not to return.

That's what Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay revealed to NFL Network's Kyle Brandt on Wednesday. The Rams allowed Matthew Stafford to engage in potential trade talks this offseason, and if that had gone through, L.A. might've gone after Rodgers.
