The NFL regular season currently consists of 17 games, and at this point, it seems like it's only a matter of time before the schedule is expanded to 18 games. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has been very open about the fact that he would like to see the league implement an 18-game schedule at some point in the near future.

Worthy's words are a clear warning to the rest of the NFL. If Mahomes is entering the season in a different mode and plays that way throughout the whole year, opposing defenses should be nervous. Mahomes has unfinished business to tend to this year.
