Graduation night arrived Saturday for Xander Zayas, whose disciplined performance resulted in a title-winning unanimous decision over Jorge Garcia in New York.

Zayas would have to take some punches along the way, but he largely boxed a beautiful fight and outclassed Garcia over the distance. After the final bell the judges turned in official scores of 116-112, 118-108, and 119-109, all in favor of Zayas who has now realized his childhood dream.
