A disturbance in the Atlantic following Hurricane Erin is now expected to track northward, according to NHC data.

Storms and heavy rain are set to hit Leicestershire as the remnants of Hurricane Erin move across the Atlantic towards the UK. The Met Office says temperatures will plummet as cooler conditions sweep in, ending the recent settled weather across the county.

Although the storm is expected to stay offshore, it will produce dangerous surf conditions for much of the Atlantic Coast this week, forecasters say.
