Travelers who don’t yet have a new federally approved identification card should expect delays at the nation’s airports but will still be able to board domestic flights, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said.

Secretary Kristi Noem said those without a compliant ID will face additional security. While Americans around the country scramble to get their REAL IDs by Wednesday’s deadline, agency officials are saying they can still travel — for now.
