AUGUSTA, Ga — It says a lot about 14-year-old Gianna Clemente that when she finished her Augusta National Women’s Amateur practice round on Friday, she was nearly stricken with writer’s cramp.

Clemente has been ahead of schedule for quite some time. At age 11, she became the third-youngest player to ever qualify for the U.S. Women's Amateur. To date, she has competed in eight LPGA events.

Gianna is expected to be the youngest golfer to play at the U.S. Women's Amateur at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, Aug. 8-11. And she's fine with that.
