WMU’s 2026 schedule is nearly set, with its home opener slated against Monmouth on Sept. 12, 2026, along with home games against Boise State (Sept. 26), Eastern Michigan, Bowling Green, Buffalo and Miami (OH) on dates that are yet to be determined.

Michigan will play its 2026 season opener against Western Michigan in Frankfurt, Germany. The game will be held at Deutsche Bank Park, a soccer stadium with a retractable roof. This marks the first time Michigan will play a game outside the U.S., excluding practices held in Rome in 2017.

Michigan is expected to start its 2026 football season across the pond in Frankfurt, Germany in a matchup vs. Western Michigan, On3's Brett McMurphy reported. This would be the Wolverines' first international game in program history.
