FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY THIS FRIDAY: Another round of snow will move in Thursday night and into Friday morning
Our winds will also be a bit breezy, but nothing like we saw Tuesday night and into Wednesday. The National Weather Service has put much of Siouxland under a Winter Weather Advisory starting this evening until 6 PM Friday. We will likely see this Winter Weather Advisory be upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning.
19 First Alert Weather Day: Gusty winds with snow showers this morning
In general, a dusting to up to 2 inches of snow is expected through this morning. The highest snow accumulation will be in the snowbelt. It is blustery as well this morning with winds out of the west between 15 and 25 mph. Gusts are up to 40 mph. Snow showers continue through this morning before tapering to the snowbelt this afternoon.
FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Much cooler day ahead with breezy offshore winds
Winter is not over yet in Florida, as a cold front is set to move in on Wednesday, with a line of rain and storms bringing a risk of severe weather. Follow wildfire updates in North and South Carolina, where blazes erupted over the weekend. The largest stemmed from a forest fire near Myrtle Beach.

Good morning! Today is a First Alert Weather Day for gusty winds. Yesterday’s cold front has moved offshore, with high pressure building in from the Deep South. This will promote wind gusts up to 30 MPH throughout the day. Because of this, a Lake Wind Advisory is in effect for the Midlands.

The heaviest snow fell on Wednesday morning. Light snow showers will continue on Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening. Wind gusts around 40 mph will cause blowing and drifting of snow. The snow could cause travel issues on Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening.
