Bungie has admitted that an external artist's work has been used within upcoming game Marathon without consent.

The announcement comes after artist Fern Hook, who goes by @4nt1r34l on X, initially accused Bungie of using in-game textures that looked similar to her original artwork on May 15.

Earlier this week, Scottish artist Fern Hook posted on social media that her work had appeared in the Marathon alpha without her knowledge or permission.

The issue came to light earlier this week following recent playable alpha tests of Marathon, from which artist Fern Hook recognised their designs had been used.
