Tiffany Henyard reminded residents of the repaved streets and sidewalks she brought to fruition, and a $3 million grant to rebuild the village.

With all precincts reporting, House had nearly 88% of the vote, compared to Henyard's 12%. It was a convincing defeat for Henyard, who had won 82% of the vote when she won the race for mayor in 2021.

Controversy has dogged Henyard in her role as Thornton Township supervisor too. When a critic took the mic and used an expletive to describe her last month, fists flew and chaos broke out at the township board meeting — the first she had attended in a while.
