Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) insurgents hijacked the Jaffar Express in Pakistan, blowing up the railway track en route from Quetta to Peshawar and killing military personnel (here, here, here, and here).

The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the incident which began on Tuesday and ended on Wednesday.

Pakistan on Wednesday completed the rescue operations in the Jaffar Express hijack incident and said that all hostages had been freed. The army claimed that 33 Baluch Liberation Army (BLA) militants,
