Rumors about Rivian’s plans for a UK factory come not long after a report about the EV startup’s intention to invest $5 billion in a second plant in the US.
But entrepreneurs understood that Rivian could have the same effect on people as Tesla did back in the day. EVision, a UK-based rental car company, bought an R1T and added it to its fleet.
If the UK plant did go ahead, though, the government could supposedly invest "well over" £1 billion (about $1.39 billion). Rivian declined to comment.
The business park offers a range of plots and buildings targeted at high-tech firms and wants to be the UK’s answer to Silicon Valley. However, Rivian is not fully convinced just yet.
