Lake-effect snow continues, up to 5+ inches forecast for some areasThe steady lake-effect snow that was overspreading a big section of the state will continue across some areas into Wednesday morning. There will also be heavier bursts of snow creating more low-visibility issues that caused accidents and highway shutdowns earlier today.
Winds out of the north-northwest will bring persistent snow bands to the immediate lakeshore this evening with a widespread 1-3" of snow expected along US-31 by tomorrow morning. Winds shift to become northwesterly Sunday which will allow for lake-effect snow to spread further inland, though most snowfall will stay west of US-131.
