Norwegian filmmaker Dag Johan Haugerud’s latest Dreams (Sex Love) has won the Golden Bear at this year’s Berlin Film Festival. Scroll down for the full list of winners. The film is the third entry in a trilogy from Haugerud. The other films in the trology are Sex and Love, both released in 2024.
The 75th Berlin International Film Festival hosted the premiere of director Richard Linklater’s latest film, Blue Moon. The film features a stellar ensemble cast, with Ethan Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale, and Andrew Scott.
At the Berlin International Film Festival, the onscreen mood was downbeat, but the program still held some gems.
The best feature film accolade went to Lesbian Space Princess, directed by Leela Varghese and Emma Hough Hobbs. This animated comedy follows Princess Saira on an “inter-gay-lactic” mission to rescue her ex-girlfriend from the clutches of the “Straight White Maliens.”
