SpaceX has scheduled a second launch with 24 satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 8:55 p.m. PDT local (11:55 p.m. EDT or 0355 GMT on July 27).
The astronauts of the SpaceX Crew-11 will launch to the International Space Station on Thursday, July 31, from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. Crew-11 is scheduled to launch no earlier than July 31 at 12:09 p.m. aboard the Crew Dragon Endeavour spacecraft. There will be a backup opportunity for liftoff on Aug. 1 at 11:43 a.m.
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 5:01 a.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The booster’s upper stage reached a preliminary orbit about nine minutes after leaving the ground.
The next four people to launch to the International Space Station have arrived at their launch site.
