Former Grand Slam winner and Serena Williams' coach Rennae Stubbs ripped Aryna Sabalenka's post-French Open final comments as "rude" and highlighted to the world No. 1 that Coco Gauff's athletic abilities played a big role in the outcome of the title match.

Gauff became the seventh American woman to win Roland Garros in the Open Era. She won her second major following the 2023 U.S. Open, where she also overcame a one-set deficit to beat Sabalenka. Gauff is the second straight American woman to win a major after Madison Keys also defeated Sabalenka in three sets to win the Australian Open.

The 21-year-old American saw off world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in a thrilling final at Roland Garros on Saturday.
