The Punisher will get his own Marvel Studios Special Presentation, and Jon Bernthal will star in it as well as co-write the script.

Bernthal will co-write a Punisher special — in the same vein as the one-installment MCU specials Werewolf by Night and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special — with writer/director Reinaldo Marcus Green, director of the HBO true-crime drama We Own This City, in which Bernthal starred as corrupt Baltimore police officer Wayne Jenkins.
