Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has detailed that Oscar Piastri had a role in the events that led to Max Verstappen ‘s race collapsing in Formula 1 ‘s Spanish Grand Prix. Verstappen was poised to come home third behind the McLarens in Barcelona until a Safety Car with 11 laps to go triggered chaos that saw him end up down in 10th.

Initially, McLaren refrained from imposing team orders, and Piastri was allowed to keep hold of his first race win in Hungary later in the year. However, the Australian was eventually relegated to a support role, with the promise of equal footing when the slate was wiped clean after Abu Dhabi.
McLaren will continue to let Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris race freely for the Formula One title but there will be some tough talks back at the factory after Sunday's collision in Canada. Norris acce
