KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Current acquired a former No. 1 overall pick and the 2024 U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year in a trade with the Utah Royals on Friday.

Alan Montes, a center back from Hermosillo, Mexico, will be part of the Sporting KC roster for the remainder of the 2025 season.
