For two decades, Atlanta journalist Mario Guevara has chronicled the city's vibrant Latino community, its cultural events as well as its clashes with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

El Salvador native Mario Guevara was arrested while covering a "No Kings" protest and then turned over to ICE detention, where he's been placed in deportation proceedings.

A flyer for a proposed "No Kings 2.0" national protest on July 4 circulated on X, drew harsh criticism from those calling it "anti-American." The post has garnered 380,000 views.

Nationwide "No Kings" rallies saw militants emerge to attack ICE facilities, assault journalists, and vandalize property, following a pattern similar to the 2020 protests.
