For two decades, Atlanta journalist Mario Guevara has chronicled the city's vibrant Latino community, its cultural events as well as its clashes with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Guevara was arrested June 14 while livestreaming a "No Kings" protest against President Donald Trump's immigration policies in the Embry Hills neighborhood near Atlanta.
A flyer for a proposed "No Kings 2.0" national protest on July 4 circulated on X, drew harsh criticism from those calling it "anti-American." The post has garnered 380,000 views.
Continued: "On June 14th, we’re showing up everywhere he isn’t — to say no thrones, no crowns, no kings." The military parade celebrated the U.S. Army's 250th Birthday Parade.
