Jay Monahan is leaving the PGA Tour next year after a decade that ends with a sport fractured by the Saudi riches of LIV Golf. He turns it over to top NFL executive Brian Rolapp.

The PGA Tour announced Tuesday that commissioner Jay Monahan will be stepping down at the end of his contract in 2026, as new CEO Brian Rolapp takes over day-to-day responsibilities.

The fourth commissioner in PGA Tour history, Monahan will be remembered for being in charge during the advent of the rival LIV Golf league, which backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, poached some of the biggest stars in the game like Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka.
