Detroit's Tarik Skubal and Pittsburgh's Paul Skenes were named Saturday as the starting pitchers for Tuesday's Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Atlanta.

The starting pitchers for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game are set. Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Paul Skenes will open the game on the mound for the National League, while Detroit Tigers lefty Tarik Skubal will start for the American League. Both Skenes and Skubal are making their second consecutive All-Star appearances.

Paul Skenes get the nod for the second year in a row, while reigning Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal gets the ball for the AL.

It's Friday, July 11 and the Mariners (48-45) are in Detroit to take on the Tigers (59-35). Luis Castillo is slated to take the mound for Seattle against Tarik Skubal for Detroit. Seattle is coming off a reverse sweep via the Yankees.
