"Rockies Faith Day" will feature a Grammy-nominated Christian singer performing at Coors Field after an upcoming game against the Pirates.

The Twins enjoyed a stroll in the ballpark Sunday, waltzing to a 7-1 victory over the walk-happy Rockies. Colorado pitchers issued four leadoff walks — three by starter German Marquez — and Minnesota hit four home runs, denying Colorado a rare three-game sweep at Coors Field.

Germán Márquez went for an MRI on his shoulder Monday afternoon, relays Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post. The Rockies have not placed the veteran right-hander on the injured list to this point. They’re currently calling the issue shoulder inflammation but are awaiting more specifics from the imaging.

So far this year, the Rockies are averaging 30,128 fans per home game — compared to 28,979 in 2007, when they surged through Rocktober and reached the franchise’s only World Series. At Coors Field on Friday, fans admitted the draw had little to do with the team’s performance.

The Rockies talked a good game before hosting the Twins Friday night at Coors Field. Phrases like “fresh start” and “new beginning” were bandied about.

With a 10-6 win over the Minnesota Twins at Coors Field, the Rockies captured their first home series of the 2025 season and snapped an overall 17-series winless streak dating back to last season. That was tied with the 1916-17 Philadelphia Athletics for the longest such streak in MLB history.
