The man from East Rochester slept through his alarm and missed work, according to a July 16 news release from the Ohio Lottery. The man went to buy an energy drink and picked up a $30 lottery ticket in Minerva. He won $500 and decided to buy a couple more tickets, the lottery said.

Stark County produced two big lottery wins in a span of 24 hours. Ohio Lottery winners purchased their winning tickets in the Stark County area, cashing in their prizes on July 17, according to a news release. One was a winner in the Bingo Times 50 scratch-off that scored $50,000, and the other was a Pick 5 drawing that won $25,417.
