At least ten people were killed in Israel overnight, after multiple Iranian missiles evaded the country's advanced defense systems. Explosions rocked Tehran, but casualties weren't immediately clear.

At least 13 Israelis have now died in the hostilities between the Jewish state and Iran that began last week. Iranian strikes carried out overnight against Israel took at least 10 lives, according to Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service.

The U.S. military is operating in the air, on land and at sea to shoot down Iranian missiles fired at Israel.

The Israeli military has warned that “all of Israel is under fire” after Iran launched retaliatory strikes on Friday, following Israel’s attacks on Iranian military and nuclear targets.

Iran launched missiles and drones at Israel in separate barrages overnight Friday in response to airstrikes less than a day earlier that targeted nuclear sites and top commanders in the Islamic nation.

Iran has fired about 200 ballistic missiles in four barrages and more than 200 drones toward Israeli territory so far in response to multiple waves of Israeli strikes, an Israeli military official said.

Israel’s ongoing attacks on Iranian nuclear sites killed 78 people and wounded more that 320 on Friday, said Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations. The strikes killed generals and scientists, but the ambassador told the U.N. Security Council that “the overwhelming majority” of victims were civilians.

Iran conflict could open opportunities for Russia to possibly become a power broker to help end the confrontation.

US intelligence has reported that Iran has 2,000 ballistic missiles, many of which are capable of carrying 900 kg warheads. Iran's goal is for the number of its missiles to exceed the number of Israeli air defense interceptors.
