Karl-Anthony Towns switched gears, or in this case, gear. The Knicks star was roasted by fans early during Wednesday’s game against the 76ers for wearing an Eagles sweater while sitting on the bench with an injured thumb at Wells Fargo Center.
“Shut the hell up, New York Knick fans. We ain’t got time for this,” Smith said on “First Take,” via ESPN. “That brother (is) averaging 25 (points) and 13 (rebounds). He can do what he wants to do. I don’t give a damn if he wanted to wear a dashiki. Feel free. Do what you got to do. I don’t care.”
On Wednesday night, the Philadelphia 76ers hosted the New York Knicks for the second time this season. Considering the timing of the matchup, Knicks center Karl Anthony-Towns made an effort to show off his fandom for the team across the street from the Wells Fargo Center.
