Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott spok on the state of the team as they approach the end of the preseason and had high praise for a second-year player.

It's only the preseason, and the Bills are tinkering with roster position battles and playing time behind their starters, of whom fans saw very little during the contest. It's also worth noting that the Bears won their preseason matchup last year 33-6 as well.

P reseason results rarely matter in the long run, but when the scoreboard shows 38-0 as it did Sunday for the Buffalo Bills in a loss to the Chicago Bears, it's hard to simply shrug it off. Coach Sean McDermott didn't mince words after the blowout, saying the performance from his reserves fell well short of expectations.
