GeoEye Inc. released the first image taken from its new satellite, providing an example of what to expect when Google uses it to supplement Google Maps, Google Earth services.
"These satellite images were taken more than a year ago and come from publicly available sources — we deliberately do not publish the latest images of war zones," Google said.
