Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced he will not travel to Turkey to take part in talks between Russia and Ukraine on Thursday, despite pleas from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to attend.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that he will be waiting for Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Turkish capital this week to conduct face-to-face talks about the more than three-year war.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he was still considering whether to attend talks on the war in Ukraine planned for Thursday in Turkey but he does not know whether Russian President Vladimir Putin will go.
