Chicago weather remains unsettled heading into the weekend, with a severe storm threat Friday evening that brings the possibility of tornadoes and flooding.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The immediate Kansas City area is included in a severe thunderstorm watch through 10 p.m. Friday night. The National Weather Service says hail up to the size of ping pong balls, winds up to 70 miles per hour and frequent lightning are possible with the storms that develop.
People in the warning area are urged to seek immediate shelter inside a sturdy building and to stay away from windows in case a tornado touches down.
Tomorrow: Lingering showers exit during the morning. After, skies clear and become mostly sunny. Conditions are comfortable with highs ranging from 78-84 degrees. Winds are breezy out of the northwest at 10-15 mph. Overnight, conditions remain dry, with lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
