June 19 (Reuters) - SpaceX's massive Starship spacecraft exploded into a dramatic fireball during testing in Texas late on Wednesday, the latest in a series of setbacks for billionaire Elon Musk’s Mars rocket program.
SpaceX is ten full-scale test launches into developing its enormous, nearly 400-feet-tall Starship, the most powerful rocket ever built. Over the last two and a half years, we've seen over half a dozen spectacular explosions.
Since 2019, SpaceX’s Starship has gone through dozens of fiery tests in its quest to become a low-cost rocket for Mars and deep space missions.
