Two people were killed in New Jersey during flash flooding as severe storms lashed the New York City area on Monday night into Tuesday, submerging cars and flooding subway stations.

Forecasters warned more rain and flash flood risk is expected on July 15 after storms flooded out roads the day before.

It will be a First Alert Weather Night for the chance of seeing some gusty winds, large hail, and even an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out as the storms are first forming and are more isolated. Some areas could see heavy rain move through.

Confidence is increasing in the potential for severe storms in Mid-Michigan on Saturday. The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of Mid-Michigan under a Slight Risk (2 out of 5) for severe storms on Saturday.

One to three inches of rain are possible, with some areas seeing higher amounts.
