Sean McVay won't publicly share the Rams' timetable for Matthew Stafford's return, but he remains "very confident" the QB will play Week 1.

The Los Angeles Rams are playing it close to the chest with quarterback Matthew Stafford’s current health situation. The 37-year-old veteran is dealing with back soreness and has now missed his second straight week of training camp. When asked about Stafford’s status, head coach Sean McVay didn’t offer much clarity.

Stafford has missed 11 games over the last three years. Since the start of the 2022 season, Stafford has dealt with a pedal toe sprain, an elbow infection, an elbow sprain, a spinal cord injury, a hip strain, a thumb sprain, and a lower lumbar sprain, according to Draft Sharks.
