SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — The San Jose Earthquakes stadium has been renamed. The soccer stadium is called PayPal Park as part of a 10-year sponsorship agreement between the team and tech company.
PayPal Park is home to the NWSL's Bay FC, which is competing in its second season in the league, and MLS' San Jose Earthquakes. The stadium was built for the Earthquakes and opened in 2015.
PayPal Park will also host watch parties for USWNT matches in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, starting Friday at 6 p.m. when the U.S. plays Vietnam.
