Despite their widely-criticized Tyler Shough draft pick, the Saints don't rank first, or even fifth, among the NFL's oldest rookie classes.

After a 5-12 finish last season and hiring Kellen Moore away from the Philadelphia Eagles as Dennis Allen's successor, the Saints opened the draft by picking offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. ninth overall and quarterback Tyler Shough 40th overall. They have seven picks left.

The New Orleans Saints may have found the foundation for their future in the 2025 NFL Draft, as five of their nine picks earned spots on ESPN’s Top 100 NFL Draft selections, according to analyst Matt Miller.
