Micah Parsonswants a new contract and the Dallas Cowboys haven't budged ahead of the star linebacker's final year of his rookie deal amid intensifying conversations that have spilled into training camp.

Parsons and team owner Jerry Jones met in the offseason and discussed the parameters of a deal. Jones thought a potential deal had been worked out. The pass rusher told Jones to contact his agent. Jones doesn’t speak to agents, however, Adam Prasifka, the senior director of salary cap/player contracts, has spoken to Mulugheta.

Micah Parsons showed up to Cowboys camp, but his contract situation is still making waves, while Terry McLaurin is absent in D.C.

The Vikings let Darnold walk in free agency in favor of McCarthy, their top 10 draft pick from a year ago who has never played an NFL snap. McCarthy tore his meniscus last preseason and missed all of his rookie campaign, getting the mental reps as Darnold shined on the field.

However, according to PFT's Mike Florio, should Parsons indeed choose to leave camp at any point now that he has reported, he could face harsh consequences from the Cowboys as a result.
