Former Orioles outfielder Kyle Stowers hit a walk-off homer and finished with three hits Friday to continue his hot streak for the Marlins.
MIAMI – All-Star Kyle Stowers lifted the game-winning two-run homer in the Marlins’ 8-7 walk-off win over the Royals in 10 innings on Friday night at loanDepot park. It marked Miami’s seventh walk-off victory of the season and Stowers’ second walk-off home run.
Only one player in MLB history has gone 8 hits, 5 HR, 11 RBI in a two-game span. That was Ty Cobb, on May 5 and 6 in 1925. Stowers' action was made even sweeter because that three-homer game was against the Orioles, the team that traded him and Connor Norby for Trevor Rogers.
