Wichita police and U.S. Marshals have taken Jaden Watts into custody in connection with a March homicide.

The man accused in the March shooting death of 24-year-old Demarc Burgess made his first court appearance on Wednesday.

Jaden Watts is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Demarc Burgess. He’s being held on a $1 million bond. Police arrested Watts on Tuesday with the help of the U.S. Marshals.
