Nine people were killed and one was critically injured in an assisted living home fire in Fall River, Massachusetts, authorities said. Fall River Fire Chief Jeffrey Bacon called the fire at Gabriel House "an unfathomable tragedy.

The fire killed nine people and trapped residents inside, including some who leaned out of windows and screamed for help.

Nine residents died and about 30 other residents were transported for medical assistance in a Fall River assisted living facility.
